Question by katt_z_bratt: How do I decorate a room with forest carpet- and still have it look modern?
“moving into a cond that has wall to wall forset green carpets in the living room and up the stairs. Our furniture and excecories are ALL black and modern, (Were not averse to buying a new neutral colored sofa etc-our are old anyway) What color s should we paint? And how can we decorate without totally changing our “style”

You can either kill the green carpet or embrace it. At the very least I would break it up with large area rugs that will incorporate your black till you settle in.

Personally I would choose a gold faux paint http://www.housepaintingtutorials.com/ragging-on-the-gold-metallic-paint.html It will look rich against the black pieces.
