Why haven’t the chilis on my plants tured from green to orange?
I live in England and have been growing Cheyenne chili peppers outdoors. The plant has produced a reasonable amount of good sized fruit so all of this is fine. However, the chilis have not turned from green to the orange that they are meant to be. The harvest time for the plant is August onwards so surely this should of happened, or at least started to happen by now? Does anyone know why this may not have happened? Any ideas/suggestions/advice gratefully received! Serious answers only please. Oh, and i’m pretty sure it is not to do with the temperature here as it has been a warm/hot summer so I doubt this is the cause.

Be patient. 
I’m in Canada and a lot of my peppers are still green. They only take a couple of days to turn.
