It doesn’t work.
If there was an energy source as efficient as coal or oil, and not more expensive, people would use it. As it is, the government has to artificially prop up companies like Solyndra (with out tax dollars). When that money runs out, the company collapses.
Is there an electric car that runs as well, and does NOT cost twice as much as a comparable gas powered vehicle?
So, the only thing the government can do is either FORCE people to use the higher priced, “green” products, or make it harder and harder to use the more efficient products, through taxes and such. A big “screw you” to people who cannot afford it.
Also, the environmental movement has killed, impoverished and endangered millions of people worldwide. Mostly POOR people who lib eras claim to care so much about.
